"Teresita's Care Program"

"Teresita's Care Program" is a project focused on providing comprehensive support to women across the country, with special attention to those living in rural and indigenous areas. Its purpose is to offer tools and resources so they can face the adversities stemming from poverty, machismo, and other cultural factors that limit their well-being and development.

The project is built on three fundamental pillars:

1. Protection and Empowerment

  • Training in human rights and gender equity.
  • Support networks and psychological and legal assistance.
  • Strategies for the prevention of gender-based violence.

2. Economic Autonomy

  • Training in trades, entrepreneurship, and solidarity economy.
  • Access to microcredits and financing for small businesses.
  • Connection to markets and employment opportunities.

3. Comprehensive Care

  • Health and wellness programs, with emphasis on maternal and child health.
  • Safe spaces for women in vulnerable situations.
  • Promotion of education as a driver of social change.

"Teresita's Care Program" seeks to generate a positive and sustainable impact in the lives of these women, allowing them to strengthen their autonomy and break cycles of vulnerability. Through community work and interinstitutional support, the project aspires to build a fairer society where all women have the opportunity to live with dignity and without fear.

Objectives

General Objective

To strengthen the autonomy and well-being of women across the country, especially in rural and indigenous areas, through strategies of protection, empowerment, and economic development, enabling them to face and overcome adversities stemming from poverty, machismo, and other cultural factors, thereby promoting a more equitable and just society.

Specific Objectives

  • Implement training programs on human rights, gender equity, and violence prevention aimed at women in rural and indigenous communities.
  • Create psychological and legal support networks to assist women in situations of vulnerability and risk.
  • Develop vocational training and entrepreneurship initiatives that promote the economic autonomy of beneficiaries.
  • Facilitate access to comprehensive health services, with emphasis on maternal and child health, in communities with limited access to medical care.
  • Establish inter-institutional partnerships to expand the project's reach and ensure its long-term sustainability.
